Apple Necklace

I thought that a fitting place to begin had to be this apple-themed necklace, especially given that this website is also apple-themed! The leaf on the apple charm was an absolute nightmare to create for some reason. I also wore it to a friend's Alice in Wonderland birthday party a while back.

I'd only been told I was coming the day before the party so I didn't really have a costume. In the end I decided to say I was dressing as a bush from Alice in Wonderland as I wore a flower skirt from Dangerfield, a green shirt and then this apple thing. I think I pulled it off pretty well haha!!

Matching Necklace and Cuff

These are by far the peices I wear most often. Especially the necklace, it just seems to go nicely with everything! I originally made the small cuff from a random tutorial on Kandi Patterns and my mum said she really liked the colour pallete because it reminded her of her grandmother's knitting needles. I'm going to take that as a compliment because she's always saying that everything I make is ugly and silly-looking :(

Special Singles

I made these quite recently at this random activity day thing we did at school. It was the day after we completed an enormous exam block (so many three hour exams, yikes!) and for some reason the school thought that instead of doing something fun we should go to a random religious place and reflect or something :/ Either way, there was a bracelet making activity which my friends and I raided aggressively. They actually had great beads and I think we might have only been allowed to make one bracelet but as you can see I made a few more than that haha!

Death's Head Hawk Moth

This thing took forever and used a shed load of beads. The pattern came from Kandi Pad and it was really fun to make! I jsut have no idea what I'm going to do with it. I guess I could turn it into a belt chain maybe? It is also kind of breaking at the bottom so I'll have to fix that at some point.

Three X-Base Cuffs

The pale pink and yellow one was the first x-base I ever made, the DNA one is kind of wonky but the hot pink and yellow one is really nice.

Outfit for my Ikea Alien

I was super lucky to get my own ikea alien! In Australia the Ikea stores had been out of stock of these little guys for ages. Then news arrived that Ikea was discontinueing them forever D: Thankfully there was one final shipment that came in to stores and when stock finally came back to the Ikea closest me (it took forever) I dispatched my father to go and get me one. I haven't been able to come up with a name for him yet but I did make some nice kandi for him to wear! I hope to make one of those epic skirts one day. (Also you can see that his little harness matches my UFO cuff!)

Paw Flat Charms

These were the first flat charms I every made, I'm still deciding what to put them on.

Jellyfish

I've made heaps more jellyfish than this because it is my go-to gift for all my friends! I'm pretty sure almost all of them have their own custom jellyfish now!

Three Flower Cuffs

These three flower cuff's are pretty nice. But whenever I make them (or any x-base cuff) I am faced with an impossible dilema. If I make the cuff 30 beads around it slips down and I find it annoying, but if I make it smaller at 27 beads (you can only alter the pattern in groups of three) it feels so restrictive and tight! Here the rainbow one is 30 beads, while the yellow one is 27. The fairy one is based off one seen on pinterest except I changed the colours slightly to match this random skirt I got from a second hand shop for $4 AUD.

Mushroom Necklace

I've always really liked making hama beads (aka perlers) long before I started making kandi! I used this old mushroom hama bead thing and put it on this random necklace. I also added white core star beads to it as well.

UFO Cuff

This is my first and currently my only UFO cuff. The colours remind me of gummy lollies or something kind of tangy yet sweet!

Purple Stuff

I made this purple jester cuff and this purple star necklace for school sports carnivals because I am in the purple house. I know purple sounds like a great house colour to have but the house is actually an absolute faliure and always comes dead last in pretty much everything. Now that I'm almost done with school I might take apart the big jester cuff because it used a lot of beads and is kind of uncomfortable to wear. Or who knows, I might keep it to remember my time at highschool!

Lillypad Rotator Cuff

This is my first, and currently my only rotator cuff. It is 1x tall and I basically made it as a test with the colours I had the most of. It kind of reminds me of lillypads and stuff like that. It spins pretty well and the single on it feels secure because I used 1.2mm elastic for it so it is super strong!

Star Cuff

This was the first larger cuff I made. I honestly never wear it because it is kind of uncomfortable but I still really like it and think it looks cool!

Chapstick Holder

I made this thing using a tutorial from YouTube and I honestly love it so much. I know it is super impractical and basically serves no purpose at all because the chapstick is always falling out in my bag, but I bring it everywhere with me just because it's fun to get it out and jangle it around!

Choker Necklace

This took quite a while to make! It is inspired by one off pinterest and it goes with my green cargo pants and my purple shirt. It looks ok, but it is sort of uncomfortable but I still like to wear it!

Leopard Print Cuff

This thing used a pattern from either Kandi Pad or Kandi Patterns (before it got blocked in Australia D:). I didn't do the full pattern because I only wanted it this tall and I think it turned out pretty nice! The inside of the spots are these shiny iridescent sort of beads.

Gir Necklace

Everybody loves gir! So silly and such a great colour palette. I also have this gir keychain I got at the artist's alley at a comicon!

Ladder Cuff

Just a checkered ladder cuff. At some point I should probably re-string it onto black thread because at the time I made this I only had white thread.

Pink Necklace

By now you can probably tell that I really like making/wearing necklaces haha! This one has a really cute (and tiny) key charm on it. I got it out of this huge tub of random beads my friend gave me because she didn't want them anymore. It has been a treasure trove for finding interesting feature beads.
